Prescription Drug Plan
Employees who choose Hartzell’s medical coverage will automatically be covered by Hartzell Prescription Drug Plan. The plan includes lower co-payments for generic drugs and a convenient mail-order option.
Hartzell’s disability plan is designed to provide employees with a source of income during times when they are ill or injured and unable to work. Employees may be able to receive continuation of salary for a certain number of weeks, depending on their length of service and organization level.
Company Paid Insurance Coverage
The company provides basic life insurance for all employees. Employees also have the opportunity to supplement this coverage with optional insurance for themselves or family members.
We support healthy lifestyles for employees and their families. Hartzell provides you with incentives to get healthy and stay healthy. Throughout the year, you will have opportunities to participate in health screenings, flu shots, and weight management programs to help keep you healthy and active.
Employees may choose to make a pre-tax contribution up to 100% of their salary and within the IRS limits into the 401(k) Plan offered through Fifth Third Bank Investment Advisors. Hartzell has a competitive matching program.
Flexible Spending Accounts
No matter how comprehensive an employee’s benefits coverage is, there are likely some out-of-pocket expenses. Flexible spending accounts provide employees with a way to pay two of the most common types of expenses–healthcare expenses and dependent care expenses–tax free.

Work Life Balance
A competitive paid vacation program is offered to give employees time away from work to promote time for rest and recreation. New hires are eligible for prorated vacation their first year with the company.
We also provide a designated number of recognized holidays.
Hartzell encourages employees to pursue formal education to enhance their knowledge and skills. The Company offers eligible employees a tuition reimbursement benefit up to $5,250 per calendar year.
Employees are granted paid time off in the event of a death in the family.
